Augusta Williams Jr. is a poet, playwright, songwriter, author and master of stories. He started writing at the age of six, and has over 10,000 pieces of work to include poems, plays jingles, sonnets, and novels. His play A Dream of Freedom about civil rights pioneer Harry T. Moore, killed in a bombing of his Florida home on Christmas night in 1951, premiered at the Eastern Florida State College Theater in Cocoa, Florida where Augusta was born.
